Another really fun set of costumes I made for Lizzie from Happy Slap Boutique. The design brief was a vintage inspired belly dance set with a hint of indian circus. The full costume consisted of beaded bra, hip belt and head dress. Lizzie’s dance partner loved the set two so ordered another set for their twin act. Hopefully I can steal the two of them for a photo shoot at some point!
I was asked to created a Marie Antoinette costume for chocolatier Madame Deroubaix for promotional use at the Norwich Fashion Week Vintage Awards. The costume consisted of panniers, a taffeta underskirt and a brocade boned bodice decorated in ornate bows and pearls.

So now panto is almost over and its time to head back to my studio for 2014. Ive decided to spend some time making some one of a kind pieces to be listed on my Etsy shop. I have a bit of an addiction to buying trims and fabrics and decided to have some fun and give clients an oppurtunity to own a one off piece. I have already made one piece which has found a home already with the lovely Lizzie of Happy Slap Boutique.
Earlier in the year I spent a few months working at Pinewood Studios in London for CBBC show Dick and Dom’s Diddy movies. We created costumes for 8 mini movies which are now being aired on CBBC. Working with such an amazing designer and along side other costumiers was a great experience, I assisted on set and found the whole process very interesting and fascinating. You can watch the show on I Player here.
